So, I like to support things I love, and things that are different. I have to say, I’ve really fallen for this little phone. It’s called the Atom, as in the smallest unit of matter. And it’s made by a strange-phone-producing company called Unihertz. I just want to endorse this phone because it’s so dang cool, feels great, and it just plain gets out of my way.
For people who don’t want to stare at screens when they leave the office, people who would rather spend time with family instead of social networks, and for people who don’t want to carry around an enormous wafer of glass in their pocket, this little thing fits the bill. Great for phone calls, calendar, the occasional note or photo. You can even search things on the web, if you really want to. It’s just as fast as a giant rectangle and can do the same stuff. But with a screen just over 2″, not wanting to spend a beautiful, sunny day on your phone is kind of the point here. As it should be.
For my phone wish list, while the Atom doesn’t quite check all of the boxes I would like, it does check a lot of them. I didn’t realize a phone’s form factor would be so important, but that’s become my favorite thing about this phone. It’s hilariously fun to make calls on this little thing, and it feels GREAT in the hand.

I really enjoy this phone as it can do everything that a regular size phone can. The biggest benefit to me is it’s small size and it’s rugged durability. At times it can be hard to text or send an email but in portrait view it’s very doable. If I find myself writing a long email on my phone I’ll simply hit the microphone button for speech to text recognition. I’ve had absolutely no issues with this phone and it is the best phone I have ever owned. It is a welcomed experience to no longer have a large brick of a cell phone in my pocket when I go about my day. The camera is excellent for my standards (16 megapixels), the battery easily lasts all day, and the software is extremely quick and responsive. Also, unlike many other phones there are hardly any factory installed apps on the phone that you can’t delete. The amount of memory on this phone is more than adequate. I use this phone as a GPS like anyone else would with their smartphone and the GPS is outstanding as well. YouTube Works excellent and the low screen resolution is not a big deal because the screen is so small that it still is Crystal clear despite the low resolution. I use this as my primary phone day in and day out, and when comparing it to my other large phones in the past, I can’t think of one single thing I can no longer do by going to this smaller phone. For what it’s worth, I wrote this review on my unihertz Atom phone. I will probably never go back to a normal size phone again 🙂

I have had this phone for about 24 hours now and I don’t see myself ever going back to my full sized smartphone. This can do literally everything a full sized smartphone can. But, you may not always want to, and that’s kind of the point. This phone has allowed me to keep all the things I sort of “need” in my life. Ride sharing apps, google maps, mobile hotspot, email, etc. And those apps are really pretty easy to use even in this small form factor. You won’t be composing big responses in your emails, or doing a ton of browsing through social media, and for some of us, that’s a positive thing. But, don’t be fooled. The phone is completely capable of tackling all the tasks that have kept you tied to your smartphone in the first place. Here are the pros, cons, and some tips.
FAH –
I gave this phone to my wife as a backup while she’s running. It’s tiny and therefore ideal when you want to carry minimal stuff. It’s also a fully functional phone, even allows for 2 SIM cards and extra memory. Voice quality is great, signal strength a little less than with an iPhone, but ok. Reading that it would only work on T-mobile, I bought a Jethro prepaid SIM card for it, which uses the T-mobile network and thus works fine.
Everyone using it should not compare this phone to their regular carry. The screen is tiny, battery life is short, and typing on the small screen requires a lot of precision.

This is a great phone! I purchased as a secondary device. It’s funny the way people look at me when I’m talking on it. The keyboard is excellent and precise, screen is super decent for the size, only con is the battery life: without even using it, I can watch the battery drain. This is definitely for those days when you want to disconnect from social media. You can still use Facebook, Instagram, chrome browser etc. but make sure you bring your charger! I’m happy I purchased this none the less.

I just bought this. I would have bought the rugged Atom but wanted to see if this line of phone was worth it, I went cheap. IT IS! This works BETTER than my Samsung A20. I will be buying the Atom next year! The key board is so wee. I bought a stylus to use on the keyboard. This makes it easy. Buyer BEWARE, this is a MINI phone. If you have big fingers, poor vision, this phone may not be for you. This is not a toy but an actual fully functioning 4G smart phone. It does NOT have finger print recognition, but the rugged Atom does. I only use it for work right now, I don’t do social media, but text a lot. I would recommend getting a back up battery source. The battery does not have a long life, especially if you use it often. I work 10+ hr shifts. If I rarely use it, it will last over 10 hrs on standby. But consistent use 4-5 hours. I bought extra batteries and a power bar. I really love this phone. Its so small., smaller than a credit card.

Das Smartphone ist sehr praktisch und lässt sich gut verstauen. Trotz des kleinen Displays habe ich es auch schon zu Navigationszwecken benutzen können. Die 3,5mm Klinke und dei beiden SIM-Kartenslots sowie der SD-Kartenplatz war ein Muss für mich. Rechenleistung ist natürlich nicht für größere Spiele geeignet – aber wer will das bei der Größe schon… Einziges Manko, der Akku ist sehr schnell leer. Trotzdem würde ich es wieder kaufen…

Cutest phone ever, and 100% functional! I got it because I travel all the time and wanted to have my home country SIM in a separate phone (that wouldn’t take up space). Jelly is the perfect solution. My boyfriend got his to take with him on nights out, which is also pretty clever! The touch screen is amazingly good, superb precise functionality. (If you have big fingers you can always use one a screen pen). The only thing is the battery life isn’t the best and I charge it every other day. But with that being the only issue I’m not complaining too much!

I have to tell everyone about this amazing little mobile phone, which is the “ceiling of children’s gifts”! When it first caught my eye, its small and delicate appearance conquered me instantly. With such a size, children can easily put it in their pockets or hold it in their hands without any burden. It’s extremely convenient to carry, definitely a perfect score in this aspect!
The Android system it comes with is like a powerful little intelligent universe. Learning apps allow children to explore the ocean of knowledge and easily expand their knowledge reserve. Entertainment apps bring laughter and joy to children during their spare time, enriching their after-school life. Its functions are so powerful that you can’t help but give it a thumbs up.
